Exploring Bali – Indonesia

Bali is a living postcard, an Indonesian paradise that feels like a fantasy. Soak up the sun on a stretch of fine white sand, or commune with the tropical creatures as you dive along coral ridges or the colorful wreck of a WWII war ship. On shore, the lush jungle shelters stone temples and mischievous monkeys. The “artistic capital” of Ubud is the perfect place to see a cultural dance performance, take a batik or silver-smithing workshop, or invigorate your mind and body in a yoga class.

You only have to hear the word Bali, and the mind itself wanders into a dreamlike place where worries are cast adrift and the sun and sand are life’s only concerns. Its an iconic island, an alien yet relaxing part of Indonesia that’s home to fascinating cultures and perfect desert-island days.Rice is Bali’s main crop. The elaborate irrigation systems encourage a cooperative way of life between the rice growers.

While you’ll be tempted to spend your entire trip lying on the beach and drinking out of coconuts with a straw (with a beer within hand grasp at the very least), there’s a whole lot more that’s worth exploring. If you’re rich and famous, hire a seaplane or a helicopter, get yourself a beach side villa and enjoy a relatively affordable life of luxury in an untouchable paradise. For us mere mortals, the dreamy underwater world on offer from the numerous dive companies – a chance to see tumbling turtles and gaudy reefs – is an equally other-worldly taste of this tropical delight.

It would be a shame to come all this way and not delve into this remarkable culture, though, something that’s easy enough to track down in the form of traditional dance performances, ancient theater customs, and plenty of must-have souvenirs like intricate wood carvings or extraordinary local clothings. There are over 20,000 temples in Bali, which means there’s plenty of wiggle room when it comes to tracking down your own and having a genuinely unique experience, something that’s well worth the effort.

It’s the natural landscape that’s given Bali her name, though, and it will be the natural landscape that will leave an indelible mark on the visitors mind. It’s not just beaches; there are towering volcanoes, verdant tropical forests full of monkeys, dramatic steep sided ravines, startling crater lakes, holy caves, fast-flowing rivers and paddy fields that seem to stretch on forever. Hire a motorbike and make your own way amongst it all, and you’ll find yourself stopping sporadically to pinch yourself, just to be sure it’s all real.

If you really want to dig deep, there are even traditional tooth filings and ceremonial cremations to take in, though they’re not for the faint hearted. Welcome to a vibrant, colorful paradise; be ready to be amazed.

Lots of people who are fond of surfing, They will pick Bali for their surfing place since Bali got so nice Beaches like Kuta and sanur,Madewi,Serangan and Uluwatu.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are the latest models in Samsung’s flagship line. Bigger batteries, better cameras, and waterproofing are the highlights of Samsung’s flagship this year.

Some of the key features are:

  • A 12 megapixel camera which it claims lets more light in allowing for a picture that is 95 percent brighter than the Galaxy S6 as well a faster autofocus
  • An “always-on display” where a part of the screen remains constantly on but at a low power level, draining less battery power
  • A bigger battery compared with the Galaxy S6 which allows for 13 to 15 hours of high-definition video playback
5.5 inch screen on the S7 Edge and 5.1 inch display on the S7
  • A faster processor and better graphics card specifically to enhance mobile gaming
    Expandable memory
  • Dust and water resistant

One of the main highlights of Galaxy S7 event was also Mark Zuckerberg, who was a special guest for this launch.
Samsung’s Gear VR is now free, if you preorder a Galaxy S7 or Edge. Samsung keeps lowering the price of virtual reality. Its original Gear VR accessory, which turned its Galaxy phones into VR headsets, cost $150. Then the 2015 Gear VR dropped to just $99. And now, for a limited time, you can that same Gear VR unit for free if you preorder one of Samsung’s new phones, the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge.

To be clear, there isn’t a new Gear VR headset for Samsung’s latest phones. They work with the version of Gear VR that launched last year, which was already compatible with the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and S6 Edge+ phones. (That’s the same Gear VR that garnered a 4-star rating from CNET, too.) The idea is, finally, some form of consistency and compatibility, so anyone with an existing Gear who upgrades to an S7 will be good to go.

gear-360

Samsung is entering the nascent 360-degree imaging market with a new camera called the Gear 360. The camera was announced alongside the reveal of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge this evening at the company’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, and it will be available in the second quarter of this year.

The Gear 360 is a tiny, double-lensed sphere of a camera that’s supposed to make shooting and sharing 360-degree photos and videos easy and approachable. (Let’s just say it — it looks like an eyeball.) The bottom of the camera is flat, so it can rest on most surfaces, and it also features a standard tripod mount. The Gear 360 is mostly featureless on the outside, with just menu, record, and power buttons and a tiny monochrome PMOLED screen dotting the white plastic finish. There’s also a slot for the microSD card (up to 128GB supported) and a swappable battery, both of which are hidden behind a small door. The camera is only splash-proof and dust resistant, though, so don’t expect it to take a beating.

Gravitational Waves Explained

#FirstCrush Gravitational waves explained ..

Einstein’s theory of general relativity completely altered how we perceive the Universe. Originally, scientists thought that space and time were two fixed and independent concepts. But Einstein’s theory combined space and time together into one four-dimensional model called space-time. And space-time isn’t fixed at all.

The theory also altered our understanding of gravity. According to Newtonian physics, all objects in the Universe are innately attracted to one another. Einstein instead proposed that objects actually warp the space-time around them, creating gravitational “pull.” Imagine a bowling ball on top of a stretched blanket. The ball bends the blanket, creating an impression in the fabric. Planets and stars are the bowling ball; space-time is the blanket. Now, imagine rolling a marble across that blanket with the bowling ball on it. The marble is going to follow the curve of the blanket down toward the ball. Smaller objects like asteroids act like the marble when near a bigger mass: they following the curvature of space-time the larger object creates.

gravitational

Most everyone in the scientific community believe gravitational waves exist, but no one has ever proved it. That’s because the signals from gravitational waves are usually incredibly weak. “When we move, the gravitational wave is so weak it is effectively zero,” says Kamionkowski. “The Earth going around the Sun produces a gravitational wave signal, but it is still very, very weak.”

But the more mass an object has, the bigger the wave it produces. Super-dense objects like black holes or neutron stars moving at rapid speeds can produce big enough gravitational waves that can be measured here on Earth. So that’s what LIGO’s scientists targeted.

HyperLoop Concept – 700 MPH in a Tube

#FirstCrush All you need to know about ongoing Hyperloop research.

It’s Elon Musk’s idea, but Hyperloop Transportation Technologies is trying to make this “pipe dream” a reality.

The Hyperloop is a conceptual high-speed transportation system originally put forward by entrepreneur Elon Musk, incorporating reduced-pressure tubes in which pressurized capsules ride on an air cushion driven by linear induction motors and air compressors.

Hyperloop

The Hyperloop does indeed sound hard, and expensive, but it’s the alternative to a $70 billion high-speed rail plan that’s been widely criticized already, and that one’s going into production. The Hyperloop features tubes with a low level of pressurization that would contain pods with skis made of the SpaceX alloy inconel, which is designed to withstand high pressure and heat. Air exiting those skis through tiny holes would create an air cushion on which the pods would ride, and they’d be propelled by air jet inlets. And all of that would cost only around $6 billion, according to Musk.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Final Trailer

#FirstCrush This has surely got to be the biggest movie of 2016 and we just cant wait any longer.. Releasing soon on Mar 25 🙂

Warner Bros. released an official plot synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and watching the footage we’ve seen so far, one can at least kind of pick up on what this movie is putting down. It seems that the world of the growing DC Cinematic Universe has labeled Superman (Henry Cavill) a controversial figure after the events seen in Man of Steel, and while there are many in the world who see him as a superhero, there are many others who view him as an extreme threat. Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman (Ben Affleck) falls into the latter category, having been at ground zero during Supes’ big climactic battle with General Zod and lost people during the catastrophe. As a result, he uses his incredible resources to do what he can to try and stop the perceived alien menace.

Cairo, Egypt – Land of Pyramids

#FirstCrush Exploring Cairo

Cairo’s an ancient city that also happens to be a modern metropolis—it’s one of the biggest cities in the Middle East and has the traffic and noise issues to prove it. But as long as you’re not looking for solitude, Cairo—the City of the Thousand Minarets—is a splendid place to explore Egyptian history and culture. (Editor’s note: Our list was compiled before political unrest prompted many countries to issue travel warnings for Egypt. If you’re currently planning a trip to Egypt, please consider the risks and monitor your government’s travel alerts.)

First, the drawbacks: Cairo’s crowds make Manhattan look like a ghost town, papyrus sellers and would-be guides hound you at every turn, and your snot will run black from the smog.

But it’s a small price to pay to tap into the energy of the place Egyptians call Umm ad-Dunya – the Mother of the World. This urban buzz is a product of 22-or-so million inhabitants simultaneously crushing the city’s infrastructure under their collective weight and lifting its spirit up with their exceptional charm and humour. One taxi ride can pass resplendent mosques, grand avenues, and 19th-century palaces, with a far away view of the pyramids of Giza. A caked-on layer of beige sand unifies the mix of eras and styles.

Blow your nose, crack a joke and look through the dirt to see the city’s true colours. If you love Cairo, it will definitely love you back.
