Opera has released the latest beta version of its popular mobile browser Opera Mini 5. Opera Mini 5 beta is a free mobile browser which comes with lots of new features like tabbed browsing, new password manager, speed dial, touch screen and keypad and all new interface. Opera Mini compresses pages by up to 90% before being sent to your phone, meaning faster page-load times than in other mobile Web browsers. It also features scroll at warp speed using your phone keypad or by dragging the page on a phone with a touchscreen.
We tested Opera Mini 5 Beta on our Windows Mobile powered XPERIA X1 and here are some of the screenshots and review of Opera Mini 5. At first when you install Opera Mini 5, you will notice the difference in interface which is very much improved over the previous version. The new interface although in beta phase, looks really good. The buttons like back and forward, refresh, tabs and settings are very easy to use and responsive.
1. Tabbed Interface: This is one of the much needed feature in mobile browsers. Although Opera Mobile does have tabbed browsing, Opera Mini which is more popular was lacking it. The new Mini 5 has a very good tabbed interface which is easy to use. The tabs show a thumbnail of the website opened and you can directly close the tabs with the close button located.
2. Speed Dial: Similar to Opera for PC, Opera Mini 5 now features speed dial and you can save your favorite and most used websites to speed dials. To add a new page, simply click on an empty Speed Dial slot, and Opera will make suggestions based on your browsing history and bookmarks.
3. Password Manager: The new Opera Mini 5 comes with a full fledged password manager. Opera Mini 5 will remember your credentials, and you can log on to your favorite Web sites with just a single click. The passwords are stored on your phone for your convenience.
The settings, bookmarks and other options also have been designed well and easy to use and responsive.
Overall we liked the new Opera Mini 5 beta and its new features. Opera Mini 5 would definitely going to change the way internet is used in mobile phones. Having said about the good aspects, we found Mini 5 gets struck few times when we enter URL or click on the speed dial tab. This could be attributed to the fact that it is still under development. So what are you waiting for, download the latest version by visiting the address m.opera.com/next, using your phone’s default Web browser or download to your computer.

The registrations for the most famous reality show to hit TV screens across India , MTV Hero Honda Roadies have begun. We betcha its gonna be really wild safari dis time around, seeing the marketing thats is going into it. The roadies are goin 4 a Wild Safari in Africa dis time around.
MTV has taken some serious steps following the incidents that happened last time. All registrations for Roadies are online dis time around and only selected candidates would be allowed to appear for auditions. All you need 2 do is to create your profile on http://www.mtvindia.com/roadies like you did for Orkut or any other social networking site, the only change is your profile would be filled up typical MTV ishtyle. All you need to do is answer the questions put up n voila your all set.
MTV has raked in a lot of sponsors for the event dis time around, you well get 500 rs off on Fasttrack Gogs, Watches once you complete your registration. Also rumour are floating around that Raghu will not be a part of this show dis time around.. Haha do you think we believe it :P, Raghu Sir is very passionate abt wat he created, wo kabi bi tapak sakte hai. Maybe its jus to create that horrifying effect of Raghu’s entry otherwise dat wud nt be there
Although it is good that the process is online now, but the ones getting selected for auditions shud consider themselves very very lucky. As the name suggests things wud be really tough dis time around, the show will test the metal of all Roadies from head to toe dis time around thats for sure as after series of Reality Shows like Iss Jungle and now Fear Factor the audience wud be used to d normal stuff.
So Get Set for a Wild Journey to Africa. All the best to All 🙂

Intel Corporation has introduced several high-performance desktop and server processors today, bringing the next level of integration and intelligence to computers.
The new Intel Core i5 processor series, two new Intel Core i7 processors and the Intel Xeon processor 3400 series bring Intel’s latest Nehalem microarchitecture to mainstream desktop and entry server markets.
Formerly codenamed “Lynnfield”, these new chips are based on Intel’s Nehalem microarchitecture and are designed for consumers who need top-notch performance for digital media, productivity, gaming and other demanding applications. These processors, along with the new Intel P55 Express Chipset, are available today.
All processors are lead- and halogen-free and feature Intel Exclusive Turbo Boost Technology. The top-of-the-line Core i7 processors also support Intel Hyper-Threading Technology
.
The new chipset brings the most revolutionary design changes since the invention of the PCI bus in the early 1990s and sets the stage for Intel’s forthcoming 2010 compute platform. The Intel P55 Express Chipset will be the baseline building block component for motherboards worldwide, delivering new levels of performance and scalability for everyone from the retail buyer to the technically savvy do-it-yourselfer.
The new Core i7 and i5 processors are the first Intel processors to integrate both a 16-lane PCI Express 2 graphics port and two-channel memory controller, enabling all input/output and manageability functions to be handled by the single-chip Intel P55 Express Chipset. Previous Intel chipsets required two separate chips. A new Direct Media Interface (DMI) connects between the processor and chipset. The chipset supports 8 PCI Express 2.0 x1 Ports (2.5GT/s) for flexible device support. Dual graphics cards are supported in a “2×8” configuration. The chipset also supports 6 SATA 3 Gb/s Ports with Intel Matrix Storage Technology providing RAID levels 0/1/5/10. Up to 14 USB 2.0 Ports can be supported with the chipset’s integrated USB 2.0 Rate Matching Hub, along with Intel High Definition Audio for premium digital sound. The new processors are the first to be supported by the new Land Grid Array (LGA) 1156 package and socket technology.
Intel has also announced the Uber Gamer Championship in association with Zapak to mark the launch of the new Core i5 and i7 processors. The championship starting on the 11th of September will see India’s best gamers play knock out games of NFS Most Wanted, Crysis and FIFA 09. Click here for more details.
